As a reseller, I mainly go thrifting to find vintage treasures for resale. There are times I purchase items for personal use too. I find deals on anything and everything I may use for the household from cleaning mop Swiffer’s to chandelier light bulbs. I found a bag of unopened ear plugs; I needed them for my upcoming trip to New York City to prevent my ears from popping while flying.
You never know what you will come across that can aid in your business. I have found brand-new envelopes, office supplies, Christmas and Birthday cards, Gift bags, and wrapping paper at the thrift. One time I found unopened printer ink for my printer for 1.00. Can’t beat that price for the item needed.
I have found health aid items like bandages, new bath chairs and grab bars for the bathroom area. Home decor items for the inside and outdoors of the home. I found this amazing vintage tin-looking white milk can. I use it as table decor for my outside screen room worktable. I found this beautiful home goods small white floral arrangement in a glass vase for my living room. This item retails for 20.00 in home goods, and I got in the Thrift for 2.00.
Brand New with Tags items found in Clothing and Shoes
Items I found for personal use include brand new unused shoes; I found brand new Skechers sneakers for as low as 6 dollars and a secondary new pair of Skechers for 3.00. I couldn’t believe it when I found these pairs at Helping Hands. I didn’t buy used shoes at the Thrift, but these shoes were in new condition, and the soles were clean and unused.
Sometimes you find the most unexpected finds at the thrift like this small plush of Beauty and the Beast chip teacup plush. I just had to have it since it’s so adorable

Finding home decor items to decorate a coffee table or even a small fire place
Anyone can furnish their home with thrift finds to decorate their home and create a one of a kind unique decor. There are some pieces you can’t even find in a traditional furniture store so don’t be afraid to shop at the thrift and pick out one of a kind pieces. Remember to bring a measuring tape to measure items to purchase furniture to scale to the room being decorated. Set up a budget and stick to it when purchasing used furniture
In summary, the thrift is not only a place to find unique one of a kind collectibles. It’s a place to find everyday items to use for personal use within the the home. Always be on the look out for unique items to reuse at home..
